Looking for the coolest-looking instrument? You’ve found them. These are animal-shaped wooden musical instruments.

All percussion 🥁 and some also double as a wind 🌬 instrument! Simple in construction but all can create a wide variety of sounds by dragging the stick across the ridges on their backs or by simply hitting any part of their bodies. Modify the sounds by adjusting your hold on the instrument from soft for more echo or hard for a sharper sound.

🐸 Wooden frogs produce very real-sounding croaking frog sounds when you drag the stick up its back. The bigger the size of the frog the lower pitch it can sound. 

🐈 Wooden cats are higher pitched than the frog when used as percussion and also feature a kazoo which you can blow via the hole in the tail to produce a sort “meowing” sound.

🐬 Wooden dolphins offer the highest pitch when played as percussion and feature a kazoo which you can blow via the hole in the tail to sound a very high-pitched dolphin sound.

🐊 Wooden alligators are long and permit for a wide arrange of sounds from high pitch to low. Ever heard an alligator make sounds before? You’ll be reminded of it by dragging along the ridges on it’s back.
