BSA motorcycles were produced by the Birmingham Small Arms Company Limited, a group of businesses manufacturing military and sporting weapons, vehicles, machine tools and metals. At it's peak, BSA was the largest motorcycle producer in the world. Starting in 1910 with the BSA 3 1/2 hp model being exhibited at the Olympia Show, London, BSA has gone on to produce some of the world's most iconic motor bikes. Models like the Thunderbolt, Lightning, Royal Star 500, Rocket 3, Golden Flash, Big Valve Super Rocket, Bantam, Spitfire, Shooting Star, OHV Vee Twin and the C15 Star have all become legendary vintage bikes to spot on the road. Some of BSA's retro 1950's and 60's advertisment campaigns feature in these designs with vibrant illustrations and pin-up girls.
